Rare Coin Value Guide

Often times, the rarity of your coins will depend on a few main factors. These factors include the coin's condition, number of coins that were minted for that coin type, the year minted, and mint location. There are many other factors involved in accurately valuating a coin, but these are often the most important ones.

The current grading system for coins is a number scale from 1-70. Refer to the chart below for the ranking system.

Typically, a lower quantity of coins minted for a particular year and mint location means more rarity in the coin. Normally coins with lower mintages have more value than coins with higher mintages.

A coin's mint mark indicates where the coin was minted. Usually, but not always, the mint mark can be found on the reverse of the coin. The mint location is an important factor when determining rarity of a coin.

Our team of certified and accredited numismatists will be able to accurately value your coins based on the factors above, along with the current market trends to offer you the most for your collection.
